The engraving techniques of Hiroshima Buddhist altars, carefully passed down by local artisans alongside people's prayers, are now reborn as handles that gently accompany someone's everyday life. It is not mere decoration, but the embodiment of skill and spirit accumulated over a long time.

Crafted by Kuninobu Yoshida, a 5th-generation traditional artisan and president of Yoshida Buddhist Altar Metal Fittings (est. 1890) — the only craftsman in Hiroshima who still creates ornamental metal fittings by hand. The intricately engraved handles change color with use, developing a deep patina. When they age, polishing restores their brilliance — an art piece to accompany you for a lifetime.

We use premium brand obi and other kimono fabrics — part of an estimated ¥7 trillion of kimono and obi said to lie dormant in Japanese homes. So you can enjoy their beauty in daily life without worry, every fabric is treated with a water-repellent finish that resists rain and stains. Traditional beauty and industrial durability, together.

This bag holds the story of an artisan with Hiroshima's only technique, and of timeless materials.
Artisan Collaboration
Co-creation with Hiroshima's Only Handcraft Artisan
Kuninobu Yoshida, 5th-generation president of Yoshida Buddhist Altar Metal Fittings (est. 1890), is the designated traditional artisan for Hiroshima Buddhist altar metal fittings. He is said to be the only craftsman in Hiroshima who can create metal fittings by hand.
He carries on traditional techniques such as iron fittings and Ao-Sentoku (coloring brass blue), adapting these methods to craft each bag handle by hand.
Material Heritage
A Fusion with Premium Brand Obi
The body uses premium brand obi such as Nishijin weave, carefully selected by Re:ADY B. The finest weaving techniques cultivated in kimono culture breathe new life into the surface of each bag. A water-repellent finish preserves the beauty while adding practicality against rain and stains.
The brass handle is detachable — you can polish and care for it yourself, and even as it ages, polishing restores its beauty.
