In this "Re:Discover Kimono" project,
SUMIRE, Marketing Director of Re:ADY B,
We will rediscover the charm of kimono, a traditional Japanese culture.

How many times have you worn a kimono?
I've only had a few celebrations - coming of age ceremonies, weddings, and shrine visits.

The image of kimono that I had was

  • High-class and remote

  • It was something to wear on special occasions.

But when I first got my hands on a Re:ADY B bag,
That stereotype was completely overturned.

"I want to have this bag,"
I remember saying this to our representative, Karin.

But at the time, I just looked at the appearance and thought it was wonderful.
However, once you learn about the meaning and background of the patterns, you will find that they are very profound.

What's so good about it?
What does this pattern mean?

Looking at Re:ADY B products from various perspectives,
It was a whole different kind of fun.

In this section, I will introduce my glasses as a kimono beginner.
Let's take a look at the kimonos!

Plant motifs

If you take a look at the Re:ADY B bag ,
I think what catches your eye right away are the gorgeous flowers.

That's right, many kimonos and obi have flowers and plants painted on them.
Let's take a look at these plants this time.

Since ancient times, flowers and plants of each season have been incorporated into kimonos and obi.
Flowers such as camellias, cherry blossoms, hollyhocks, chrysanthemums, and maples are unique to Japan.

Each one has its own meaning. For example,

"Chrysanthemum" - a representative flower that symbolizes longevity

"Camellia" - a sacred tree that signals the arrival of spring

"Aoi" means looking up at the sun and represents a good start.

The embroidery depicting these flowers and plants is also wonderful.
The combination of thread types and colors, as well as the three-dimensionality and delicacy of the embroidery,
It's something that can't be replicated by a machine.

We will be adding more and more new bags in the future, so there will be a variety of patterns available.
In addition to flowers and plants, there are many other patterns.
We will also introduce these in this section.

When choosing a Re:ADY B product, have fun.
I hope you can experience traditional Japanese culture.
